Salubong!
Salubong! Me, my family, and my favorite Filipino desserts. March 2026. By illustrating childhood birthday photos taken by my mother in the Philippines, I inherit more than images. I inherit her memories, her sacrifices, and her aspirations. These images extend the context of where my cultural traditions originate from and the hands that have shaped them.
